OMG Burberry Body Advert featuring Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
I will watch anything that features the pouting beauty that is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley; I will also be drooling profusely . Miss Huntington-Whiteley stars in the advertisment for Burberry's new fragrance, "Burberry Body", shot by Mario Testino. I think "hot under the collar" is an understatement for my reaction to this video. Mmmmm :)

PHOTOGRAPHER HENRIK ADAMSEN
I find it difficult to identify Henrik Adamsen with any particular style because his portfolio seems to encompass a vast array of atmospheres, themes and moods. At times his women are warriors, and at others they are soft and fragile. However, no matter what the mood, Adamsen is able to wholly embrace the concept of the image. Albeit having different atmospheres and appeals, each set of images absorb this atmosphere through a perfect entwining of model, styling and photographer.
Part of this process relies on Adamsen’s talented post-production skills, where each image is branded with the unique style of the set they belong to. Each image is personally tailored to fit the personality of the model, rather than the model moulding herself to fit the photographer’s concept. I love how everything, whether it be the setting, the pose, the expression, the colouring or the styling, forms together to create an emphatic sense of habitat in which the model seems to intrinsically belong.
However, for me, the most inspiring factor of it all is how subtly it is executed. In my favourite images (above), faded colours are mixed with a pixelated noise to create a vintage feel, scratches and stains are mixed with the surroundings to create a grunge effect, and, in simpler photos, warm photo filters are applied to set the mood. However, what makes Adamsen truly one of my favourite photographers is his ability to not get lost in his concept; the post production does not distract from the fashion but rather enhances it, which is why Adamsen is certainly a photographer to watch out for.

DAPHNE GUINESS : UNDRESSED
Daphne Guinness: Undressed on Nowness.com.
"Documentary filmmaker Brennan Stasiewicz infiltrates the cosseted world of Daphne Guinness in Daphne’s Window. Featuring intimate footage of the icon at her Fifth Avenue apartment, the short follows the eccentric fashion patron and socialite as she prepares for her recent installation in the windows of Barneys New York. The storefront showcased her collection of pieces by designer Lee Alexander McQueen and a selection from the archive of fashion editor Isabella Blow, which Guinness purchased in its entirety last year. The display culminated in a performance art piece in which Guinness dressed for the Met ball in one of the flagship’s windows, modeling a lilac feathered gown designed by McQueen’s Sarah Burton. “She appears to me as someone always in a window,” says Stasiewicz. “Someone you can approach and see, but you remain on the other side.” This year brings a multitude of projects for the heiress: her sculptural armored glove collaboration with jeweler Shaun Leane (pictured in today’s film) will be exhibited by Jay Jopling in a private viewing in London later this month; and in September a retrospective at The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology will pay homage to her style. “Daphne is someone to take pleasure in, and in many ways, someone who incites moments of wonder,” says Stasiewicz."
Daphne Guinness is considered strange and eccentric for the tastes of some but, she is such an enigma of fashion and people usually fear and question what they do not understand. She's awesome, not doubt and people often overlook her and it pains me because she's such an inspiring figure with a different apporach to fashion as armour. This is a short film of her installation performance. Enjoyyy

RA RA SCRIBBLE CLOTHING
£190
£125
£85 |
£225 |
After cutting our pattern pieces, we mask all edges that shall remain white.
Then we individually draw on each piece, creating a unique scribble pattern.
This is pretty cool, I'm not going to lie. Remindes me of when I was younger at school on the last day everyone drew messages on people's shirts. RA RA turned this into fashion, but £225 for a t-shirt I could make myself? Hmmm

BEING EXTREMELY BUSY AND COOL
So, this is me having a blast. I haven't posted in a while due to several prevailing circumstances; some fortunate and some unfortunate. Yours truly managed to snag a job as a fashion writer for meetthedesigner.co.uk and you can check out my first article on there. The job has ridiculous perks. Last week I was invited to a champagne tea party with Jade Parfitt...yeah, Jade fucking Parfitt! How awesome is that? Anyway I'll post fashion stuff soon but these are a few events coming up this week that I'll be at and i implore you all to attend them because they are really quite interesting, I'll be there and hopefully there will be free booze.
This event is actually being organised by a very good friend of mine and the poster was designed by another very good friend of mine, the fantastic Angela Frei (check out her tumblr here) . It is for Marie Curie and is being held at the ridiculously posh Valmont Club. Tickets can be purchased by emailing jazzitupmariecurie@hotmail.com and donations can be made here . |

"AT HOME" - CRYSTAL FIGHTERS (HIDDEN CAT REMIX)
My favourite song of the week. Any Hidden Cat remix is a good remix. Makes me want to put on a Navajo hat, drop a couple of E's and go and rave away in some forest. Good stuff.

COLOUR COLOUR COLOUR COLOUR STREETSTYLE COLOUR COLOUR COLOUR
This gorgeous pair of blue suede shoes simply sing when they are betrothed to her luscious orange jeans. Image via Elle Uk. |
The bright pink heel certainly adds an element of eccentricity and shows that the wearer takes his fashion serious enough that he can have fun with it. Image via GQ. |
Spot the difference of how two complementary colours are accentuated by the addition of white spots. Image via Facehunter. |
Again, two complimentary colours married against a dark and muted colour to create minimalistic sophistication. Image via Carolines Mode. |
Her red socks add some much needed fun to an otherwise uni formal ensemble. Image via Carolines Mode. |
I love the vibrancy of the colours and different textures; a seemingly playful palette given an edgy dynamic with a chic pair of biker boots. Image via Facehunter. |

There is that orange again; this time in the circular form of a wide brimmed hat, acting as a perfect foil to an elegant royal blue asymmetric dress. Image via Wayne Tippets |
Wonderful pastel colours smartened up by a vertically striped blazer for an exciting, yet grounded look.Image via Wayne Tippets. |
I heart this look. Definitely my favourite of them all. He looks so street debonair. I want to be his friend, or atleast steal his shoes.via GQ. |
